THREE Massive Projects

Huntington University is a Christian liberal arts college located in nearby Huntington, Indiana. The school offers more than 70 bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs ranging from film animation to nursing and biblical studies to political science. These particular projects were close to our hearts because Reusser is proud to employ a number of Huntington University alumni, including our very own president and founder, Nate Reusser.

The Site

A university’s site is meant to highlight what makes the school special and encourage students to engage. However, when the front end is difficult to navigate and the back is difficult to manage, no one is enjoying the ideal experience.

We partnered with Huntington University to revamp their site. Instead of charging ahead with our own assumptions, we started by learning about each audience. Through detailed research and focus groups, we identified what end users needed. Those insights influenced each decision moving forward.

The end result was a massive 4,000 page website, including Huntington University’s entire academic catalog, all fully customizable within an easy-to-use content management system.

Since this initial redesign, our partnership with Huntington University has continued to grow and we’ve been able to work with Huntington University on a variety of other projects, including successful digital marketing campaigns.

The Booklet

Every five years, Huntington University releases its strategic plan. This lengthy booklet outlines the tactics and goals prioritized over the next half decade. Potential donors can then gain a clear sense of where the university is heading.

However, previous versions were text-heavy. It was a challenge to fully grasp the vision. They approached Reusser about a redesign. We elevated the overall look and feel by including more pictures, icons, data callouts, and strategic whitespace. This made the message more digestible and enhanced the reading experience.

The new, 36-page booklet could be enjoyed on screen or on paper. This project was a great example of Reusser continuing to add new services in order to meet the needs of our clients.

The AudiT

Huntington University returned to us once more for a comprehensive Website and Digital Audit that included:

  • Competitor Analysis of four local colleges.
  • User Experience review covering 15 areas of focus across their website.
  • Website Analytics of their current site performance.
  • Social Media Assessment including audience demographics, social platforms, and content improvements.
