California Plumbing & Mechanical Contractors Association

California Plumbing and Mechanical Contractors Association (CPMCA) is the voice of the union mechanical contracting industry in Southern California. They provide networking, education, and advocacy programs to member companies. CPMCA is a national model for mechanical contractor associations, recognized for their high level of excellence. To ensure their branding and marketing efforts match that standard, CPMCA partnered with Reusser.

New Branding

CPMCA wanted a brand refresh to remain relevant and distinct as their organization evolved. Previous logos included three small icons representing the industry for a literal translation of the organization’s services. Through in-depth research and competitor analysis, we determined the logo needed to be more personal.

After reviewing six logo designs, CPMCA quickly decided one stood out among the rest because it embodied all things California. The logo and color scheme drew inspiration from the sun-soaked California hills and the blue Pacific waters. As CPMCA attracts new members and targets young talent to join the industry, the branding gives a fresh, modern look that will continue to help CPMCA stand out as a leader in the industry.

Digital Marketing

Before partnering with us, CPMCA’s digital marketing footprint was minimal. We set up new social media accounts, began an email newsletter, and made updates to the website to support marketing efforts.

CPMCA is a large organization with many member companies and partners. Gathering content was an ongoing process that required persistence and organization. Reusser stepped in to manage this process. We gathered content from members, vendors, and industry partners through continued outreach and by attending CPMCA events. We then leveraged this content across all digital channels. Through the ongoing content creation, we helped CPMCA tell stories and document the organization’s growth.

The Pipeline

The Pipeline is CPMCA’s digital-only magazine that highlights recent events, educational opportunities, member accomplishments, and more.

Reusser managed all content, writing, and communication for the Fall/Winter 2022 edition. Using CPMCA’s updated branding, we gave the Pipeline a refreshed, modern design.

Miles Traveled


A cornerstone of this partnership was attending CPMCA events to build relationships and gather content. With stops in Lake Tahoe, Newport Beach, and Anaheim, our team spent plenty of time flying across the country.
